2. Mission and Purpose

The Mobile Innovation Center (MIC) will serve as a physical representation of The Hive Social Garden's mission to use nature and technology to engineer a more equitable world. It will be the "Mobile Innovation Center" for the Space and Military Intelligence Learning Experience (S/MILE), providing immersive and hands-on education in the following key areas:

  • Quantum Intelligence: The center will introduce participants to the fundamentals of quantum computing and its potential applications, such as enhancing supply chain security and improving efficiency. It will also explore the implications of quantum technology for intelligence gathering and security.

  • Ethical Social Engineering: The program will teach ethical social engineering by focusing on communication, community building, and using information for positive change, rather than manipulation. The goal is to build a "garden, not a castle," emphasizing collaboration over control.

  • Sustainable Globalization: The center will promote the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, offering education on careers in innovation and STEAM. It will highlight how technology can be used to address global challenges and build a more resilient and equitable world.

3. Operational Model

The Mobile Innovation Center will travel to communities, offering programs and workshops to diverse audiences. The programming will include:

  • Byte-Sized Adventures: Planned adventures in time and space that explore the three core concepts.

  • Sowing Circles: Workshops focused on crafting and planting, creating "Garden Havens" and fostering community.

  • Femme in STEM: A program designed to reverse engineer the patriarchy for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

  • SMILE: An immersive learning experience that teaches critical thinking, digital literacy, and emotional intelligence, and aims to help individuals and families "understand the world around you and how to safely thrive".

  • Queen Bea Wellness: A wellness program that works to improve the health and foster a sense of well-being and resilience among primary caregivers, utilizing a healing-centered "Food as Medicine" approach that acknowledges and addresses historical trauma and systemic inequities.

The center will function as a hub for community care and education, offering a safe space for individuals to learn, share their experiences, and build a more sustainable future together. It embodies the concept of "storyteller energy" by leveraging individual narratives and shared knowledge to drive positive change at the community level.
